Since I started my breastfeeding journey a little over a year ago I had always wanted something that would remind me of the hard work I put into it but also of all of the happiness being able to nurture Blakely gave me. Breastfeeding is truly the most bonding experience between a mother and a baby and I couldn’t be more thankful that I was able to share that with her.
About a month ago Liquid Goldsmith reached out to me to collaborate. After looking up the jewelry she is able to make out of breast milk I was amazed and so excited for this opportunity. I had seen breast milk jewelry in the past but never with as many options as she has! You can add different colored foil, glitter, shimmer and the color of the milk itself. I picked the gold filled oval shaped ring with copper foil, and pearl shimmer and I couldn’t be more happy with the way it turned out!
The process was also very easy, she doesn’t require much milk to make it—only 15ml. I packaged it up and sent it to her and she did the rest. A few weeks later and I receive the most beautifully curated package and a sticker to celebrate me reaching a year of breastfeeding! You can tell how much thought and care she puts into her work.
What I love is that she can also create a piece of jewelry out of formula for mamas who are unable to produce milk and I think that is so so special. Motherhood is hard but so rewarding and having a keepsake of motherhood whether you breastfeed or not is so important.
Plus just look how dang pretty it is!
